127 Tasting Notes
Very excited about this one. Not sure why I had not drank it in so long, because it’s delightful! It’s definitely got that custard flavour, but it’s complimented really nicely by a fruity note. If I had not know, I would not have picked out that it was rhubarb though.
Flavors: Custard, Red Fruits, Vanilla
Preparation
A nostalgic favourite, comforting spice flavours that remind me of my childhood. That does mean I’m not very objective rating it. liquorice, aniseed and fennel are on the forefront followed by other spices I am strugging to pinpoint.
Flavors: Anise, Fennel, Licorice, Licorice Root
An interesting tea, very mint forward but the lemon tones really lift it up. most of the flavour is pretty subtle, however. It feels like the purest form of herbal tea: just what you get when you steep local edible plants in water, which I suppose is eactly what it is.
Flavors: Lemon, Mint, Thyme
Preparation
Got this tea at a tearoom today, and was pleasantly surprised it was not a common forest fruits. This tea has a fresh, almost crisp flavour, it reminds me mostly of redcurrants. I might have to seek these out the next time I am to get tea bags.
Flavors: Fruity, Red Currant
Preparation
The best part of this tea is that it not only actually somewhat tastes like irn bru, but it also brews an orange cup! I don’t grab this one very often (too often I still gravitate to the fizzy drink…) but when I do I enjoy it a lot!
Flavors: Citrus, Sweet
Preparation
I am weird, for many reasons but one particular one is that I dislike the flavour of water. However, drinking water is good for you, so when I bring a bottle of water somewhere, I drop in a cold infuse tea bag. It’s still not my favourite, it’s a tad watery still but it’s much better drinking than the origional, and much healthier than fizzy drinks. I don’t pick up on the apple at all, but the blueberry is quite nice if a tad artificial. There is a slight note of soap that I find berry teas can have, but it does not stand out much.
Flavors: Artificial, Blueberry, Soap, Watery
