Sipdown 3 -2024

This was surprisingly good for a bagged black tea. Nice and malty with no bitterness.

Working on sipping through this. When I love a blend I typically have trouble finishing it and hoard it until it goes bad. Not a great approach. I love this blend, but I’ve had it for quite awhile and the almond slivers scare me (I really don’t want it going rancid). So, trying to enjoy it rather than wasting it.
Such a great combination of almond/amaretto and raisiny dried fruits.

Flavors: Almond, Amaretto, Cinnamon, Orange Zest, Raisins

Working on finishing this off. It’s fine but doesn’t read as particularly cranberry. More generic fruit. Blueberry is preferable over this one.

Sipdown 2 – 2024

Bought this on a trip to Maine and just finished it off. Really tasty blueberry flavor! No astringency or bitterness either.

First sipdown of 2024

Wow have I been bad at both sip downs and logging my teas. Finished off a bag of this delight, but I think I still have 1 or 2 (maybe 3?) left. Still as tasty as ever.

52Teas Advent – Day 1

I never tried the original version, and steeped this up without looking at the ingredients first. I definitely get a gentle caramel note on the black base. Super mild and not overwhelming. Now reading that it’s caramel corn- I can taste it, but it’s quite mild.

Someone at work very kindly brought some of this back from their trip to London. It’s…okay. A little bit drying, some muscatel flavor going on, but overall too tannic for me.

Sipdown 36

Never quite got along with this one. No matter how much dry leaf I used, it always tasted a bit flavorless. Not bad, just not much going on.

52Teas Advent – Day 1

Getting a nice balance of creaminess and tart cranberry. The cinnamon is extremely mild.

52Teas Advent – Day 3

This is big, big bergamot. Works so well with the creamy cheesecake flavor.
