Sipdown (113)!
I could have made two smaller cups with what was left most likely, but instead I just dumped this into one cup to finish it off and hoped for the best. No idea exactly how much leaf I used, to be perfectly honest.
Man. Man, oh man. Maybe I should have split it…
I wanted more butterscotch flavour from this one; and I got it. All the butterscotch stuff must have really made it to the bottom of the bag, because this was so intensely, over the top sweet. I would call it “pure sugary butterscotch” except some cinnamon was actually present in the lingering aftertaste. But otherwise; it was all drowned out. No present base, at all. The butterscotch was actually so concentrated it almost sort of took on an alcoholic quality; it severely drew Comparison to butterscotch Schnapps for me.
At first I really liked it, but then it became too much too quickly where as my previous cups were so much more tame and seemed to be lacking. If only I could have struck a happy medium between the two.
I can’t believe I’m saying it; but maybe this is a fall tea I will restock if only to play with it more and see if I can strike a balance now that I know this can produce such polarizing flavours.
