125 Tasting Notes
Ok I am officially having a love affair with this tea so I am upping my rating. It is so good, straight or with milk/sugar! I had another latte this morning and I literally went to bed last night looking forward to that. I want to compare it to a british chocolate chai that I have tonight, but I think I might like this one better….and the Whittard’s CC I have is one of my favorite teas of all time. Tin to come.
Preparation
I was recommended this one for lattes by a friend because she said it tasted like a cheap chai. I also like it straight because of how it sparkles.
It is a nice rich cinamony tea, good straight or with milk and sugar. I don’t think it’s the best flavoured black, but it’s a good crowd pleaser since it caters to familiar flavours.
Preparation
This is one of my favorite latte teas. It reminds me a lot of chocolate rocket, but with strawberry instead. It tastes like an amazing chocolate covered strawberry, and only gets better with sweetener and milk. Great tea to add to your collection if you are starting off with flavoured teas.
Preparation
I didn’t think I was going to like this one. I mean lets compare it to the fall returning chai, pumpkin chai. No way it can be as good right? Well it isn’t, but that’s because it has more of a bite for winter.
In store I ended up getting some because it smelled like really intense dark chocolate. No spice at all. I figured once I brewed it the spice would come out.
This is a really deep spicy chai. It tastes like cocoa with some spice it in, it reminds me of a really strong dark chocolate bar mixed with some of the more authentic strong chais that I have had in my life. I would recommend it only if you like spicy chai teas, but it’s a great one to have if you like chocolate for the winter.
Preparation
Ok so this totally smells like Absolut Raspberry. Like not even funny how close it is.
So upon brewing it has a nice redish hue. I like the taste, lemony and raspberry-y. I don’t know if it’s my favorite fruit tea that Davids does, but it is pretty good.
Preparation
As others have noted there is a lot going on with this tea. I am in the middle of searching for another non-caffeinated tea that can match my love for forever nuts, but so far no such luck. I will have to have some sleigh ride again next week, and see if it can switch up my routine.
It’s tart and fruity, but also cinnamony. On first sip I liked it, but now I feel like it’s just a crazier Kanpe tea, and I like Kanpe better because it has more direction. Ah well, I still like it and will be finishing off the 25 grams I bought. But I probably won’t get anymore. I bet it would be good iced, tonight I had it hot.
Preparation
Soo I went and got 4/5 winter teas today. The only one I didn’t get was alpine punch because I’ve had it before. It was a magical experience, I am so excited for the holiday stuff to come out next week. I also got a new mug!
I really like this one. Second tea from the Winter Collection I was able to try. I had it super hot at first and was disappointed (also I burnt my tongue) but as it cooled the delicious sweet mint flavour came out at the point and I was in love.
I think this is a really great straight tea to have in the evening. No sweetener required. Yum yum.
Preparation
I like this one, but I don’t love it. I had high expectations for it, because lets face it who doesn’t love cookies? But it is not as rich as other dessert teas and for me I don’t think that is a good thing.
It does taste like cookie dough, but to me it pales in comparison to the real thing. I had it as a sample at the store and didn’t like it, but I got some to have at home. In a latte it’s pretty good, but not as good as other dessert teas I’ve had from Davids.
Preparation
It tastes like watery cookies to me :( I was sad. And I love sweet teas. My friend liked it though :D
Can I express my love of this tea in a few words? Not possible. This is the tea I have had the most since my obsession with DavidsTea began. I love it so much. Had it today with some milk and sugar, still delicious. Go get yourself some, it will give you all the energy you need.
Preparation
I have heard many good things about this tea and now I am stoked to try. I am trying to expand my mate collection.
It is my favorite Davids Mate, followed by simply the zest and main squeeze. It is so warming when you drink it, you don’t need to add anything to it.
Simply the zest is my fave, and I am struggling with cocoa canela, I want to like it but it just not what I thought it would be.
I want to try this one out :) It sounds and looks yummy, going to have to stop by a David’s Tea sometime soon.
