drank Cookie Dough by DAVIDsTEA

Update on my cookie dough escapades, I think you need to steep this one a fairly long time for the full flavour to be there, and it is especially good with sweetener/milk. Still not my fav latte, but I like it a lot better than when I first had it.

This is actually one of my favorite herbals so I’m surprised that it has such mixed reviews. But I’ve come to the conclusion that I like hibiscus and I like ginger, so I think that is why I feel this is such a winning combination.

NEWSFLASH though. The reason I am reviewing this now is because I have a new favorite tea hobby. I’m trying to cut out calories from alcohol/sugary drinks. And I have a lot of gin/tonic around because I was really into them over the summer. So my new fav thing to do is to use the steeper to brew an herbal (I’ve tried Kanpe, Pink Flamingo, Goji Pop, and this one so far), place some gin and ice in a cup, pour the hot tea over the gin/ice, and then top it up with tonic. DELISH! Such a great drink and not as sugary as anything else that I would have flavoured.

Now to this tea. I love the ginger, I love the smell, and I love it hot or iced. Hot especially though, it has a sweet ginger flavour that I feel makes ginger tea better.

drank Sleigh Ride by DAVIDsTEA

Ah Sleigh Ride my old friend. I remember you from last years advent calendar. Like a more intense, fruity, and tart version of forever nuts. On resteep tonight I found it tasted exactly like forever nuts. I will now refer to it as 2 teas in one. Getting a tin soon :)

I didn’t try this today because me and hibiscus aren’t usually friends :( omgosh though! wouldn’t it be good mixed with forever nuts?!

Calla

oh cool :) sounds yummy , I just went to david’s today and got the advent calendar and I believe that the holiday teas are on there.

I picked up this one today with the other two holiday teas. I love all the gift sets DavidsTea has come out with this year.

This one is sweeter than Elf Help. I like it, but I don’t know how much I’ll end up drinking just because I’m not really a regular green tea drinker. I would rather have a nice oolong.

This is by far my fav tea of the month from the last bit and my fav flavoured oolong. I love pinapple though so I’m bias. It took me completely by surprise, my hubby and I were driving across Canada going to every Davids along the way, and this was the tea of the day. I was like WOW THATS GOOD so when we got to our new home I got a tin.

It’s sweet and fresh, really smooth, and just a nice to drink hot or iced. Very well balanced, I don’t get a overly fake tasting flavour, just fresh and delicious.

I had this one today as a Latte when I was in checking out the new holiday sets. Which btw are amazing, good job Davids for continuing to try to take all my money.

It was really vanilla-y. I think I like it more than Vanilla Oolong (which I haven’t had in a year). It tasted exactly like vanilla ice cream with milk and agave, which I was not expecting. I Maaay pick some up, but I really want my next oolong to be the skinny since I miss it so much. We shall see.

just decide that the skinny counts as a pu’erh. problem solved. :)

Sweet Canadian

Lol maybe I have a bunch of Life Long oolong I want to drink up first though! I got it instead of the skinny last time, and to be honest it isn’t my fav. Like its good, but it isn’t mind blowing.

Teavangelical

I kind of feel the same way about life long, though the week we were out I was going nuts cuz I was craving it. Have you tried Happy Kombucha?

Sweet Canadian

Yes and I don’t understand it. I have never had Kombucha so I don’t know what it is supposed to taste like, but I don’t love it either. I feel like I should for both though. I love Milk Oolong, this new Vanilla one, and the Skinny the best I think. I am really happy the skinny is in the advent calendar again so I can try it! I am going to pick up 50 grams of either Milk Oolong or Vanilla Orchid next week.

Sweet Canadian

Oh and pinapple oolong, but I already own that one. There are a bunch of others I want to try though, my husband is getting into oolong too which is a jump since all he drinks is Cream of Earl grey and Brazillionaire.

Teavangelical

Has he tried Buttered Rum? it’s a great dude tea lol.

drank Pink Flamingo by DAVIDsTEA

The dry leaf smells exactly like grapefruit. I love grapefruit, so this should be good.

Steeped it a long time…don’t know how long. I had it going while I was finishing up another cup. The colour is a dark pink and looks nice in my glass cup.

This is my favorite out of the three fruity herbals I got to try last week, but I still find myself longing for some Kanpe. The taste is tart straight, I think it would be great iced. WAIT I COULD RESTEEP IT OVER ICE! Runs to kitchen and puts tea back in steeper

Omg so much better. I added a hint of honey to my DavidsTea Steeper, and now it tastes exactly like starbucks passion iceteas. Will not longer be drinking hot, it just isn’t as good.

Boiling 8 min or more
Cedes

Yay great minds think alike ;) no more expensive starbucks for me. Just this tea

Calla

I’ve tried this one before and it tasted too exotic for me. I should try it again

Sweet Canadian

I was unimpressed with it hot Calla, it was so much better once I cooled it down. Cedes, Tuesday my friend and I are going to mix Kanpe and Pink Flamingo because we think that will be spot on with the strength of the Passion Ice Tea :)

Calla

yeahhh I tried making it iced…. I still have some of this tea, so I shall try again.

Daisy Chubb

mm so SO good iced!

I’m upping my rating on this one because I think I did it a better service today. It’s still not my fav (I wish it was more appley) but I added a hint of honey and only steeped it for 4 mins, and it was better.

The first time I made this one I thought it tasted like watery banana. Not good. My friend recommended that I steep in longer, so I tried.

It tastes like a banana chocolate milkshake! It’s pretty good, if you like Banana and chocolate you will love it. I personally still like CCC the best from the winter collection. SO EXCITED FOR THE HOLIDAY COLLECTION THIS WEEK!!

mmmm i melted a mini halloween sized jersey milk bar into it. it tastes like these chocolate bars from croatia that our baba would give us as kids.. they were ultimately banana marshmallow covered in dark chocolate… davids captured that exact flavour!
