307 Tasting Notes
I brewed a small pot of this and tried it two ways — first clear, then with milk and honey. I found I slightly prefered the flavour clear, though as always the feel with milk and honey was better.
The flavour is stronger than other Earl Grey teas that I’ve had, which I appreciate.
Preparation
I’ve been on a solid diet of this tea for the past several days, and it’s been lovely.
However, I must note that it sells itself as a very full-bodied tea, and I haven’t found the flavour to be strong at all. Enjoyable, but not agreeing with its packaging. This is what’s largely stopping me from giving it a higher score than I have.
Preparation
This tea is fantastic. It has a great scent, great flavour, and can withstand my teabag abuse on school days. There is very little bad I can say about it.
The almond slivers and cocoa nibs are so aeromatic, it’s a joy to just smell this tea, let alone enjoy the taste.
Preparation
There is no bad way to have this tea! Straight, with milk, sweetened, soy milk…. any combination I’ve tried, it’s wonderful.
One must be careful to make it strong enough, it’s very easy to make a too-weak brew, which is the only thing keeping me from giving it a perfect score. Still, it is probably my favourite of David’s chais, if not my favourite chai overall, and VERY delicious.
Preparation
I generally enjoy this tea. The flavour combination is lovely. However, it oversteeps very easily. Being someone who enjoys strong tea steeped for a long period of time, this can be problematic for me. However, done in a teabag or ball, rather than loose and steeped just right, it’s a lovely tea.
One of my preferred Timmies teas. I’m drinking a teabag of it at home right now, steeped in a cup (because that’s the way they did it there, I was afraid that one teabag wouldn’t do for a pot), with milk and brown sugar added.
I find it enjoyable, with a nice depth of flavour for a bagged tea.
Preparation
I rather love this tea.
I generally describe it as a hot pink lemonade. The “hot” refers to temperature (I generally drink it hot) more than the colour, which is a vibrant shade of dark pink. The flavour is strong but lovely — it can be overstrong at times, mind. Remeniscent of lemonade, but with far more depth. I generally enjoy it clear.
The second brew is also delicious, though lighter in colour and taste.
