I haven’t had a GM in so long. I need to rectify that.

Sipdown 59 – 2024

Another Adagio sample sip down. A pretty decent jasmine pearl! Good jasmine flavor, well-balanced.

Sipdown 58 – 2024

This was smokier than I would’ve thought, up until the last cup which was extremely chocolatey. Overall a fine tea, but I don’t think I need to repurchase.

drank Peach Oolong by Adagio Teas
1962 tasting notes

This was much better than the other Adagio oolong I just tried. The peach flavoring helps cover the tea itself, but this was decent overall. Probably would’ve made a better iced tea, but I didn’t like it enough to repurchase and try.

I’ve never really been impressed with Adagio’s offerings, but they lured me back in with a 75cent sample offer. Sadly this isn’t good. The charcoal flavor is overwhelming and I’m not getting much flavor otherwise. I ended up dumping my cup.

Another solid offering from One River, though probably my least favorite.

This always read as a bit more coconut than mango to me.

I don’t know if this tea has changed, or if my taste has changed, but I really didn’t care for this last cup. I haven’t had it for quite awhile, but there are no creme brûlée/caramel notes, just something slightly medicinal over the smoke.

ashmanra

Medicinal with smoke doesn’t sound ideal.

Definitely not.

A few steeps had a creme brûlée, toasted caramel thing going on, that I have been trying (and failing to recreate).
