I gave this one another go this morning. I’ve bumped up its rating for a couple of reasons:
1. The smell is really the only thing that is reminiscent of cough lozenges. If you’re able to look past this smell (which isn’t horrible), the actual taste of the tea is wonderful. It’s not one of my favorites, but I really enjoy it and would re-purchase.
2. Although this tea’s suggested steep time is 4-7 minutes and I vowed to pay more attention to steep times and temperatures, my daughter’s 2 minute diaper change turned into a 14 minute situation, so my tea steeped for that long before I was able to rescue it. Luckily, I didn’t find a difference between the last time I had a cup and steeped it for 5 minutes.
3. Despite the fact that I steeped my first cup for 14 minutes, I steeped another cup using the same infuser full of tea and it steeped really well a second time. It wasn’t AS flavorful as the first cup, but that could very well be because of the extended time I gave to the first cup.
