Our Silver Needle white tea is made entirely from the hand-plucked silver buds (also known as “white tips” or “Bai Hao”) of the tea plant. Based on appearance, flavor and aftertaste, we selected it from the best of Fujian, China’s early spring 2009 crop. This rare white tea’s fuzzy, silver-green buds have a honey-like, woodsy aroma and a canary yellow infusion. A rich, velvety texture complements delicately sweet flavors of wildflowers, honey and chestnuts. A refreshingly floral finish rounds out this quenching, easy-to-drink tea. Silver Needle can be brewed multiple times and is delicious alongside light vegetable soups or mild, creamy desserts.
