From DAVIDsTEA

Spring eternal

Legend has it that Li Ching-Yuen was born in China in 1677 and died 256 years later in New York. His secret? Goji berries. Your secret? This hot pink tea filled with sweet, sweet goji berries, rosehips, citrusy lemon oil, apple, melon, marigold and hibiscus. It’s probably the most delicious longevity formula ever. Which is key, since you’ll be popping it for the next two centuries. Caffeine-free.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, goji berries, hibiscus blossoms, rosehip peel, honeydew melon cubes, marigold petals. With artificial flavouring*.

This reminds me of fruit by the foot, or rather, healthy dried fruit leather. Sort of a strawberry apple lemon flavor. Yum! This tastes like what Teavana’s fruity herbals are trying to be. I added a touch of sugar but it was fine without it; I didn’t find it too tart, I just have a sweet tooth :)
Thanks Jenn!

Hmmmm, this was not what I expected!
I was hoping for that drying sensation/taste that I get from gojis and green tea sometimes, but none was forthcoming. In fact, I didn’t get any goji at all!! I’m wondering if somebody picked them out of the tin at the store?? I’ve heard rumours of the same happening with the watermelon equivalent…
Too bad, I so wanted to like this tea. All I got was sour “juice”! A hot lemon cider-ish drink that was overall tasty, but still not what I wanted.
Hmph.

A very good tea cold! I’m not sure I would like it hot but this will be one to add to my summer list. It’s very melon~y in taste. I can’t really pick up anything else yet but that’s okay.

I changed the rating due to the fact that it gave me a migraine from drinking it. Luckily I had some Verdant Tea nearby and that fixed me up with in seconds

Hmm. I still have a Goji Pop sample leftover from a sampler gift that I got from my Auntie, I guess I could try it cold…maybe I’ll like it more then.

okay this is pretty awesome. sweet, fruity, a bit of a pinch/bite to it. i steeped it hot but i definitely think this is one i need to try chilled too. this 25g bag needs to last long enough for me to do it!

I don’t mind Goji Pop for sure,
it’s refreshing!

But I find fruit teas are usually not my favorite due to their sour-taste. I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy! I’ll try a little sweetener next time (and can’t wait to try the blazing strawberry!)

I too enjoy the summertime flavour of Gogi Pop…but my favourite tea for icing right now is The Blazing Strawberry.

Jenn

I love them both iced! Blazing Strawberry is particularly nice though.

Daisy Chubb

Man why have I waited so long to try Blazing strawberry? Well.. probably because I’m moving as fast as I can out o fmy apartment before we get the apt building’s bedbugs/black mold. So far so good, but not enough time for tea, am I right? haha!

Jenn

It sounds like you have your priorities well in order. Get out of that place! There will be time for tea later :)

Daisy Chubb

No worries, we’re out of there this weekend b^_^
At least work gives me time for tea. Work’s gotta be good for something. :)

Jenn

Good! I love your attitude about work. It can’t be all bad if there’s tea :)

I got a sample of this in my DavidsTea order that arrived today. I was at work so I grabbed the sample and made a cup of it right before a meeting. After it steeped a couple of minutes I added some agave nectar to it so I could just remove the bag and give it a stir in my meeting. Good to go, right. Right, unless I forgot to bring a spoon and forgot about the agave. I drank half of it unsweetened and then realized it and swirled the sweetener into the other half for a very sweet second half of the cup.

I like this tea. I’m not sure I would order it, but I enjoyed it. It is lemony and tastes like some sort of berry that I cannot identify; probably because I’ve never had a Goji berry before. It’s fruity, in a real fruit kind of way and has no medicinal qualities. Nom!

Yay! I got my David’s Tea gift today!!! Was not expecting it til sometime next week! Anyways, given the fact that I didn’t get home til close to 9, I decided that it would be best to start out with an herbal. With any luck I will be getting up at a reasonable time tomorrow and will be having a black tea to help wake me up.

1st smell: Dry, interesting, but not especially notable. same wet.
1st taste: Odd. Not bad, but odd. As I am looking at the reviews, I am realizing that I didn’t get really any of the notes others picked up. Well ok got the apple, (kind of reminded me of hot apple cider.) Of course, I have never had Goji berries, so that is probably part of why I had no idea what to expect. Overall though I liked the cup, though I am thinking that I probably would not buy this tea on it’s own. And to me, based on the tastes, this is more of a Fall tea.

I made some of this the other night and I didn’t have time to drink it, so I put it in the fridge to drink later. Yum! It’s quite tart but very refreshing. I had a couple sips hot, but I definitely think I prefer this one cold.

Thanks, Courtney! You are certainly helping me to grow my love of herbal tisanes. Hah!

So, Goji pop. Maybe I underleafed? Because ehhh, really light. The dry mix smells amazing, though, so maybe my expectations were too high. :P

That was last night.

TeaLady441

Yeah Idk about this one. The samples in-store never were that great, but I have some in my mini-tin so maybe it’ll be better when I make it.

Ozli

With double servings in a small cup maybe it’d be good? IDK, dude. It’d probably be ridic pricey to drink it that way, so better to not know, maybe? haha. (Though I’m going to do that with my last cup anyway – at some point.)
