A prestigious oolong known as a “Rock Tea” (Yancha) from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. In this area, the plants grow in an environment rich in minerals that contribute to their unmistakable aroma of wet stone and its complexity.
Bai Rui Xiang, like all Yancha, undergoes partial oxidation and subsequent roasting on coals, but unlike Teas such as Da Hong Pao, it is generally more delicate. This allows it to preserve and enhance its fruity notes, which are its distinctive feature.
“Bai Rui Xiang” means “hundreds of precious aromas” and the name actually fits perfectly: on the nose as well as in the cup, you are immediately captivated by its sweet and fruity aroma reminiscent of peach, with a mineral undertone.
