Propriety isn’t just a set of rules one follows senselessly. “The flower of propriety,” as the prayer says, “is beauty in thought and action.” To be proper is to act according to the gods’ desire and therefore it is also to be just. Mild, barely sweet, with a cornflowery and very slightly fruity finish.
