15 Tasting Notes
Tried this last night at soon as I got it home…I was super excited about the price. I used 2 bags with 12 oz. water. It’s definitely not bad, but I taste something more like perfume than flower. Maybe a bit “chemically”. I was able to get a second brew but wasn’t interested in trying for a third. So far Teavana has my favorite Jasmine Pearls. I did get my Golden Moon Sampler last night so I’m looking forward to trying theirs.
Preparation
Yum! I have gone through my first pouch and just ordered another…Now I’m thinking I should have gotten 2 or 3. I used 4 tsp. in 12 oz. boiling water and let it steep for 8 minutes and added some agave and milk. I taste mostly banana but if I drink it like wine and put my nose in it and sip and smell at the same time I get more chocolate flavor. ( I try to only do this when my kids are not around to avoid ridicule).
The second time I made this I added about 2 tsp of the Zingiber Ginger Coconut from Teavana and wow, so yummy!
Preparation
This just came in the mail today and I was so excited to try it. I always brew a first cup according to the directions it comes with and this tea said to brew between 150-160—I’ve never brewed anything that cool before…It smells wonderful but the taste is barely there. I"m going to let it cool more and hope the flavor develops some. Next time I’m going to brew it at around 170-175 the way I normally do a white. I’m really hoping the taste will live up to the smell!
On a side note-is there a trick to knowing what number rating you’re leaving? I just have faces and have to guess. I want this to have a 70-75 but have no idea how to do that.
Preparation
I made this last night and it was a little weak so tonight I used 3 heaping teaspoons to 12 ounces water. After steeping for 6 minutes the water was at 187 and I added 2-1/2 heaping tsp. White Ayurvedic Chai (also Teavana) and steeped for 2-1/2 minutes more. Added agave and milk with just a teeny bit of half and half. This is the dessert tea I’ve been looking for!
Preparation
I used 2 tea bags and 12 oz. water, next time I’m going to try 3 bags just for fun. I added a little agave nectar and cream—yummy! This tea has a lot of chai flavor but I could definitely taste hints of chocolate and caramel. I wish it wasn’t a caffeinated tea so I could drink it at night for dessert…it would be perfect for that.
