This tea is definitely for dessert. I have had it with and without milk, and it tastes wonderfully sweet. It is almost too strongly sweet, but the spices mellow this some. The scent is an amazingly strong caramel, but the taste is comparatively light. Color is coppery, and I always have dregs in the bottom no matter my infuser type. I do recommend if you are looking for a snack, not an accompaniment to a meal.
