814 Tasting Notes
oddree is back from her journey, and she returned with loose leaf tea the whole way from Sarajevo.
i loved every picture she took of sarajevo. lots of balance. both grey and vibrant. sparse and whimsical. minimal and decadent. humility and pride.
(think coffee and fresh simple bread, then cake slices piled next to each other and 50 flavors of liquors and wine. or sprawling and indifferent buildings of apartments and shops and then a mosaic and golden gilded town center.)
i could go on, but i’ll let her tell you about it
this tea matches those pictures.
and from a tea company i realized i can order online, and probably will. cuz when things are bought from exotic places they taste better. it’s totally science i swear.
i want to write a proper review.
i really do.

drank this for breakfast and then packed a few scoops of it into a gift box for my mom’s birthday. oddree is currently on vacation in europe and she wasn’t gone for even 15 hrs before she texted me a photo of some tea and cake. #doingitright!
jump62359 gave me this sample a while a go. like a loooong while ago. in fact i have a lot of samples to still try and a lot of teas to backlog all from a cluster of swaps that happened maybe over 7 months ago. I really HAVE been DRINKING TEA this whole TIME! just not logging it very much. temporarily not logging it.
anyways. i had a cup and watched an episode of The Ultimate Spider Man cartoon. in it Coulson was being adorable and griping about the school budget and then i went to work and channeled Coulson as i reconciled budgets. this is harmonious living. :)
i shared this delicious tea at my weekend tea gathering too! Oddree was there as well and also enjoyed it.
i’m a person who has a lot of fads. and i’m one of those people that others will say “oh yes me too” but anyone who has experienced my fads first hand knows that they probably don’t come close. BUT as tea people, there might be a few of you who do. tea is just kinda like that isn’t it.

truth is i barely take pictures of my nails considering how much time i spending choosing colors and changing them. i really should document it more. future-me will thank present-time-me if i do.

Thanks Cameron, they are my favorite too. the artist makes the best covers and draws women great. (he draws men great too http://kevinwada.tumblr.com/post/99250642276 hahah) the she-hulk is a constant nail go-to for me. i basically print lots of little random decals, and then just print a whole page of she-hulk and a whole page of hawkeye. they give me joy.
(also the she-hulk artist complimented my nails personally on instagram, so i have official approval to mutilate/honor his work all i want haha)
i had a tea party and this was a gift from jump62359 we tasted!
my guests tend to like green and white and lapsang and not black tea so I was glad to try a few of my non-black teas with people who would really enjoy them.
this tea was enjoyed by all. super thanks to jump for her generosity. ESPECIALLY since i’ve gone MIA for so long! real friends (and true internet-friends) know absence does not mean forgotten… xo
I loved this tea, and I loved this review, and I loved Sarajevo. My heart totally belonged to Budapest & Sarajevo most. The sage is supposed to be good for infections, but it’s just very refreshing and I always want more.
I loved the pictures too! Looked like an amazing trip. :)
