280 Tasting Notes
Wanted to get my hands on more samplers and this one seemed pretty popular on Amazon. Kinda pricy considering the amount I think. Its definitely not enough for the advertised 60 cups. This is a light flavor tea. Kinda fruity and doesn’t hold up to milk and sugar like a classic breakfast tea should. It is nice without the sugar and milk though. Just lightly fruity. Not bad.
Came across this in my local store. I remember my parents buying it when we lived in England, didn’t know it made it to the US. Anyway, it’s an OK standard cup of team. Milk and sugar complements well. Sometimes it tastes a little odd. I like PG Tips better…but this will do in a pinch. Might try and get my hands on other class UK brands.
When we first started drinking hot tea, a British lady brought me a box of this and said it was the truest to what most people drank in England. Ashman loved it with milk and sugar.
That sounds really good, I’ll have to give it a go! I don’t find many green and black tea mixes, would be perfect for work!
Seems like forever since I have been on this site… but back to write a quick review. I wasnt a big fan of this… it made a really strange cold tea but I found that was my favorite way to drink it. Or maybe I just brewed it with too many leaves? j really wasnt a fan of this hot, it just wasn’t anything special. I think I was expecting looking at the blend if leaves.
I don’t think I’ve had a fig tea and the other flavors of lemon and vanilla were really intriguing. I don’t like this hot, it tastes like every other fruity tea from Harney. Cold is much better but I don’t really get the flavors they list. Maybe I get prunes? IDK it wasn’t a home run but I did enjoy most of it cold with a tiny bit of sugar. I wouldn’t buy it again though…
Flavors: Prune
I am really using allll my will power to not order the Queen Charlotte set….I loved the show. Just wish I could get the tins but filled with loose leaf tea instead. Anyway, this will probably be my last Republic of Tea review for awhile unless I get that set. I wasn’t a fan of this. Idk why…it just didn’t taste like I imagined it. Also I just drank the last of it and no particular flavor stands out enough for me to add to this review :/
Bought the loose leaf version. Its a nice pleasant earl grey. Broken larger tea leaves which I always think tastes better than the smaller pieces. Its a little
Pricier though, especially with shipping so might not get it again.
I love this tea! I love Jasmine tea but usually it only comes in Green tea (I’ve seen it in White too). My favorite tea is black though. Love it, love it, love it! The perfect floral notes to it. Smooth and goes down nicely with just a touch of sugar, Nice hot or cold. Too bad it’s a limited one and they don’t have this one in stock all the time.
I have a little (ancient) bit of Pumphrey’s Blend from Peet’s Tea and Coffee—now discontinued. It was also a really nice green/black blend with a little jasmine.
