5 Tasting Notes
Aromas: lemon, orange, grapefruit, floral, mint
Great tea bag quality, I appreciate that there is no staple on the silk pyramid pouch.
This tea has really strong floral notes with hints of citrus, a very subtle chamomile. The lemon zest that lingers is quite pleasant and adds to this tea’s sophistication.
Preparation
Steeped at boiling for five minutes.
This was a fine pu-erh by the Republic of Tea. The notes of coconut were very subtle at first, but they came through on the second steep. The coconut aroma was not too strong, which I quite liked, but perhaps a bit too subtle. Overall, some nice earthiness from this black tea.
Flavors: Coconut, Cream, Vanilla
Preparation
A really good Puerh with a sweet chocolate aroma as advertised. Some notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. The second steep arguably lost a lot of its flavors, but the chocolate notes came through more strongly than in the first. Overall a great Puerh from Numi.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cinnamon, Nutmeg
Preparation
Great tea. Got a couple of good steeps in this one. Had it straight and I was pleased with subtlety of the different notes. I love that the taste of the black tea really shines through.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Coconut, Ginger, Pepper
