6 Tasting Notes
i love chai tea and this one is pretty good. Similar to something I was once served when visiting a lovely elder Indian woman in a foreign country. She made the tea blends herself with fresh spices and served it with loads of sugar. This tea is pretty good, probably better than the Tazo chai they serve at starbucks had before. It is very spicy, however there is a certain…mustyness? woody-ness? to it. i’m not sure how to describe it exactly, but it leaves a flat taste on your tongue. I think this is from the fresh cinnamon bark. I like to drink it with a bit of milk and a lot of sweetener (either sugar or agave nectar- whatever is available) i would recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic chai tea experience. :)
Preparation
I was excited seeing all the new speciality teas at my local grocery, as I’m currently living in a very remote area without much variety available. you can hardly taste any vanilla.. the smell is pretty bland too. its ok but its nothing special, i wouldn’t recommend it or buy it again. however, its the only earl grey i own right now so i will save it in case anyone has the craving.
I don’t typically like green tea (to be honest I kinda hated it- I usually drink black teas)- but this winter I got sick with mono and i read that green tea with all its wonderful antioxidant properties could speed the healing time- so I was determined to find a green tea that I didn’t mind. This one has been pretty good. I find the blueberry flavor perfect for covering up any grassy taste that I don’t like in most green teas. I would recommend this tea to anyone who is trying to get into the green tea game!
Preparation
this tea was so amazing – probably my favourite ever. I am so sad i’m finished it and i can’t buy any more (it was only out special for christmas!) I got it as a gift as I do not live near any David’s Tea Locations but it is so delicious, I only got a small amount in a christmas ornament type thing. Reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I would drink it with milk and agave nectar, but thats just how i like to take my black teas always.
