8 Tasting Notes
From the 2015 Summer Collection, Coconut Ice. This tea is primarily coconut ingredients wise. The tea is bitter and grainy and has very little sweetness, which I was hoping for. It’s described as a tea that should taste like creamy coconut iced cream but it tastes more like the coconut shell!
DavidsTea’s July monthly tea, Grilled Pineapple. This tea smells strongly of natural pineapple, and has appetizing chunks of pineapple. The tea has a lightly pineapple flavour to start but ends in a bit of a burnt flavour. It’s not my favourite tea
Flavors: Pineapple, Toasted Rice
Toasted Walnut, one of Davidstea’s most popular teas. This smooth, buttery tea feels like a warm elixir in your belly and on the tongue. A heavy but not overwhelming nutty flavour brings you right back to autumn evenings. I love this tea!
Flavors: Almond, Butter, Walnut
I bought Spa Day during the mother’s day special. This lightly pineapple tea is a good summery drink, but I do not care for it, it smells and tastes like a body butter. There’s a old aftertaste that is almost a stale flavour.
Flavors: Coconut, Pineapple
I got my DAVID’sTea Pom Tango in the Summer Collection. This tea smells and tastes like Hubba Bubba chewing gum. I can’t make a flavour distinction otherwise. It makes a good summer iced tea, but wasn’t my favourite. It made me feel a bit sick because I was correlating the tea to swallowing bubble gum.
I bought DAVID’sTea Snickerdoodle Rooibos tea at the tail end of it’s sale from Fall 2014. This tea tastes mostly like peanut brittle, cinnamon and monkfruit. This tea is extra sweet so be careful when adding any extra sweetener.
Flavors: Cinnamon
I got my DAVID’sTea Chocolate Orange Pu’erh in my “Easter Tea Hunt” box in sample side. This tea is really great, it smells and tastes like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Lightly citrus and gentle chocolate flavour makes for a great cup on a winter evening.
Flavors: Chocolate, Orange
I picked this tea up in the “They’re Back” David’s tea collection. I tried it once, and wasn’t incredibly fond. It was better as a cold tea, but just wasn’t my cup. Heavily pineapple flavoured with lingering blueberry sweetness. This tea is good for a summer day.
Flavors: Blueberry, Pineapple
