6 Tasting Notes
I had higher expectations for this tea. The base oolong is a bit weak and you can barely taste the vanilla without adding sugar or honey-I like my tea with very little additives so this was a bit sad. I’ve mixed this tea hoping for better results like Golden monkey and Golden dragon with no prevail. Anyone else had luck with this tea?
Preparation
Back after a long hiatus! I’m currently drinking my favorite earl grey blend which includes lavender and rose hip. The bergamot is fragrant but not overwhelming in taste. It is balanced well with the lavender and rose which makes you feel like the princess/prince that you are!

Preparation
Alright this tea has some very low ratings. I understand; the bitterness, the tartness…it’s not good. I really only like this tea when I add it to an oolong or a black tea to add some sweetness. The coconut is unnoticeable, but the sweetness it adds to any kind of unflavored tea is really great with a little bit of sugar. I added 1 tsp of monkey picked oolong and 1 tsp berry kiwi colada to my cast iron and it’s wonderful. If you’ve put this tea on the back burner, give it another try :)
I stopped by the Eagan Farmers market a couple weeks ago to find that there was a tea company in my own backyard. Simmer Down Tea is an online based company that is opening up shop soon, but has been selling their tea at Eagan and Bloomington Farmers market for quite sometime. The owner and I talked tea for quite sometime and he gave me a discount on the 2 doves silver needle since I told him white tea is my favorite. The taste is amazing, very light and orchid like. I steeped this one a little longer than usual at a lower temperature because I wanted to taste all that it had to offer. Just a delightful tea.
