I’d love to participate!

I am currently in a tea swap for women only and wondered what you thought about combining the 2 or if you just want steepster only females…your thoughts!?

The more the merrier:)

Must ask: What are the advantages of a female-only swap? Is there a difference in tea-taste between males and females? I know that there are some perceptions of taste and smell that differ between the two sexes, but I didn’t think they’d be found in tea. (Well, maybe in pu-erhs.)

Well, not so much an advantage, really, mostly I have found that some females would rather just swap with other females…that’s all really. For example…some married women might not be interested in getting mail from men…lol…ya know!?

No offense guys…just one of the ‘issues’ that has been brought up in another swap I do.

Tea is the equalizer…it is what we all have in common. In small communities many people have a pot of tea on the stove all day waiting for that guest to drop in for that spot of tea and a friendly conversation…we used to not lock doors and leave money on the kitchen table for the milk man…those days are long gone but I hope that common decency prevails here on Steepster. I am not offended by "woman"only swap but I awake in the 21st century…dreaming ’bout the good old days.

Thanks for not being offended Pete! I would never want to offend anyone! Just wanted to have that option for those women who may be concerned or prefer, ya know!? I’m very interested in ANY Tea Swap that may start! I think it’s an awesome opportunity to learn and taste new brands and teas!

When I placed my name in the hat for the Tea Box Swap last week I was concerned…I held off typing in my address for a bit…and I am a guy! These days one can’t be too careful. Be safe “Sistas”…and enjoy ur swap.
