37 Tasting Notes
I want to like this one a lot more than I do, but it just doesn’t hold together well enough. I think there are too many ingredients and something gets confused along the way. However, it is really great for when I’m watching a movie, and it tastes just great brewed in a cup of hot milk. When you don’t know what you want, or just want a little bit of everything, this is a good tea to try.
I have tons of mixed feelings about this one because it is simply SO SWEET. I don’t mind excessively sweet teas in the least, in fact I’m generally drawn to them, but the aftertaste on this is like Hallowe’en gum and whatever tangy flavour there is gets completely absorbed by the overbearing sweetness.
That said, it’s pretty good as a pop and my little brother doesn’t mind when I make it for him. And for some reason, I keep coming back to it.
I have this when it’s one of the dollar iced teas at David’s. A lot of hibiscus, just like with most of their summer teas so far, but it’s a bit less shockingly sweet than, say, their Pink Lemonade. If I wasn’t suffering from hibiscus fatigue I’m sure I’d love it more.
The first time I had Mexican hot chocolate was in World literature class in high school; after all four of us in the class had finished the exam, our poe-faced teacher frothed some milk and made the delicious treat from compressed cakes of chocolate and spice.
This tea with lots of milk is fantastic when I want to capture some of that fond memory without the calories. You can really taste the chocolate and the chilli.
This is one of my very favourite teas from this particular company. I have a big tin of it and it tastes great no matter how I make it, though lately I’ve been taking to dunking a bag of it in a cup of hot white chocolate. Straight, the taste and smell are warm and filling. I’m glad I got a tin of it before the winter collection left.
Got this as a sample along with a bulk order I conducted for me and my friends. Smelled suspiciously like strong cheese out of the bag, and though I love coconut teas, there’s far too much of it in this blend. I can barely taste the white.
