Advent day 1

I’m only doing 1 tea advent this year, compared to the 5-8 I’ve done in years past. I’m going to be out of town for much of the advent season, but I’ve also found that having so many starts to become more stressful than fun. So, I decided on the S&V advent, along with my Bonne Maman (and 1 toy calendar for my cats).

This is a perfectly ordinary earl grey. Bergamot isn’t too strong, the black base is brisk but not bitter.

Ha, thanks for posting this review! I actually forgot I bought this calendar until I saw this!

Sounds like the perfect batch of advents to me. :D

Fewer advents this year seems to be a theme for a lot of us.

Love how you can’t forget the kitties though, he he. I had to get cookies for my puglets too! XD

AJRimmer- I’m sorry for spoiling, but glad I could be of assistance with you remembering this advent!
tea-sipper- hehe, thank you.
Cameron B.- Yes, agreed….and of course can’t forget the pets! Love sharing some holiday joy with them.

I don’t think I’ve tried this before…despite purchasing it over a year ago. A touch boring, but fine. Would probably be better with milk. Mild chocolate, toffee, caramel.

Flavors: Caramel, Milk Chocolate, Toffee

So tasty. Bergamot is light and balanced nicely with the custardy flavor.

I found most cups to be quite woody, with lots of tobacco and just a hint of dark chocolate.

Flavors: Dark Bittersweet, Tobacco, Woody

This smells odd. The berry aroma is really nice, but the coconut adds an unpleasant smell.

The coconut is less noticeable in the flavor, but the hibiscus is strong here. Really tart, berry. It’s fine, but I was hoping for more of the berry flavor to be present.

A bit boring. Orange/cinnamon. Lots of hibiscus.

Another blend in my holiday stash that I’m just not loving anymore. Slightly bready/cakey tasting, with a touch of fruit. But, there’s an astringent quality that is throwing everything off-balance.

Oof. Not loving this anymore. Really artificial tasting. So incredibly sweet.
