2 Tasting Notes View all

“Wet piled. Thumbs down emoji. Smooth to the point of flat, kind of uninteresting to me. Papery and bitter if left too long. All of which I feel shame for saying, based on that lovely description...” Read full tasting note
“First time having liu bao. Phenomenal taste and energy. Sometimes teas taste chocolatey. This one goes beyond that and has such a deep, dark, musty, chocolatey energy that quickly engulfs the body...” Read full tasting note

Description

This is a classic wet piled Liu Bao from Wu Zhou Tea Factory. Harvested and processed in 2001 and then packed into 30kg baskets for longer term aging. This entirely “Te Ji” grade (Te Ji is the smallest leaf grade for Liu Bao) Liu Bao has aged into a smooth but potent tea with a strong cha qi and long lasting mouth-feeling. The taste is unique and hard to describe. Only a small leaf grade wet piled Liu Bao with 20+ years of age will have this kind of character. Very clean storage with little to no mustiness!

We recommend purchasing a small amount of this to see for yourself why this is a must-have for Liu Bao lovers!

This comes in a lovely basket if you purchase the 500 grams basket option, other quantities will come in our standard resealable silver pouches.
