3 Tasting Notes View all

“I have to agree with Yunnan Sourcing’s description for this one: at $33/400g, this is absolutely a decent price for any aged sheng, but this one is pretty decent for that, too. I have a 25g sample...” Read full tasting note
“Summary: Inexpensive for age buy from YS, at great value. Starts with robust smokey hay and mushroom and finishes sweet grassy. Big body. Prep: 5g, 60cc gaiwan, boiling. Rinse, 10s, increasing from...” Read full tasting note
“I don’t have much experience with Puer as this one of my first three shengs to have tasted so take this review with a grain of salt. I got a 25g sample of this from yunnan sourcing. I found it...” Read full tasting note

Description

Feng Qing tea factory (now owned by Dianhong Group) is the oldest tea factory in Lincang and the original producer and exporter of Yunnan Black tea. Feng Qing county (Lincang prefecture) is also a producer of high quality pu-erh tea, many from old tea trees.

A premium production from the Feng Qing tea factory. Composed of old plantation Spring 2007 Feng Qing area tea leaves! Hand-processed at every step and then pressed and stored in Kunming for 9 years! The best thing about it is the clean strong taste that comes when you pour hot water over it. It’s balanced and textured, thick and filling, with sweetness and hints of hay and mushroom broth.

It’s rare to find a production with this age in the price range that performs as well as this one.
