Xinghai tea factory of Menghai is one of the classic producers of Ripe Pu-erh tea. This tea was pressed from high grade Gong Ting and 1st grade fermented tea from 2008. The Dragon cake (Yellow Label) is slightly lighter fermentation and carries a slight bitterness and stronger “cha qi”. The Phoenix cake (Red label) has a higher degree of fermentation and feels more smooth and soft. Both will age well, the Dragon cake being lighter fermentation will age more gradually.
