Description

Bada is one of the great regions of top grade, raw Puerh tea. Centuries of deep tea culture permeates an area that contains both ethnic Lahu and Hani people. This potent, yet balanced, leaf is carefully plucked from 50-80 year old trees and then stored in bamboo husks to age. Such vegetal pungency is often preferred and definitely respected by the experienced Puerh sipper. The leaves are excellent for current enjoyment, but they also contain the undeniable components of a great ageing tea.

Its cylindrical shape recalls the incredible history of Puerh tea and its journey along the ancient tea horse road. The leaves are steamed, then pressed, and lastly dried in bamboo husks, which impart a subtle sweetness. Raw puerh’s classic honey aroma is followed by a vegetal bouquet of toasted wheat and a hint of charcoal…

Sourced exclusively for us by the famous explorer and author of The Ancient Tea Horse Road, Jeff Fuchs.

Notes: toasted wheat, charcoal

Infusion: 200ºF / 93ºC for 30 seconds
