“I’m really surprised but I like this tea. I received one tuo cha as a sample and the smell is earthy and musky. The tea really gets dark in a hurry. The taste is earthy and my wife even likes it...” Read full tasting note
“I am adding a tasting note, but no rating as I am sure I am not an expert in this type of tea. I had seen many revies of pu-erh noting that this tea tastes earthy. I had seen others noting that...” Read full tasting note
Pu-erh is a large-leaf variety of the tea plant with a characteristic earthy taste and musty aroma. This one is shaped into a bird’s nest and individually wrapped. One nest will make approximately three cups of tea–it can steep all day and not get bitter–just stronger and blacker. If it gets too strong, just add fresh hot water. Appeals especially to coffee-lovers. Reputed to lower cholesterol and aid in weight loss.
