Description

8582 is a classic recipe featuring a relatively large average leaf size. Originally this recipe was produced by the Menghai Tea Factory (now known as Dayi), but in the late 90’s the recipes were published so that other factories could begin to make their own versions. This “8582” is from a smaller private factory trying their hand at the famous recipe. It’s delicious.

The liquor features prominent notes of camphor, wood, rich leather scents, and hay. It’s very sweet and smooth, rich with notes reminiscent of molasses cookies. It’s very clean tasting, though this tea has seen some humidity in its storage over the last couple of decades (natural Taiwan storage).
