I know I’ve been using “juicy” and “lovely” a lot in my reviews, but that’s what I’ve been craving lately.

And this one hits that sweet spot. Oh my goodness. Ooooooh my goodness! I love watermelon. I live for watermelon in the summer and yes, I will buy a whole watermelon and bring it home, even when I was walking to the grocery store. And I’m the only person in the house who eats it!

This is juicy and melon-y…yum. It does taste a touch artificial, but not so much so that it takes away from the tea. I am surprised with the full flavor with every sip! I was expecting a black tea with a hint of melon or strawberry. Instead I get POWberry and WHAMmelon! So much love for this…I may need to stock up before summer comes…if summer ever comes…

So I am a little sad because I just checked my email only to realize Stacy does not have enough left to send me the Carrot Cake tea I ordered on Black Friday. That was one of the ones I was dying to try so that was definitely sad to hear. Stacy is being very accommodating though so I can’t be too upset. Her customer service is really quite great :)

Anyways, on to the tea…

This came to me from Courtney and it is not bad but my roommate mentioned it tastes like potpurri and every time I have it, that is all I can think of. It is actually because of that, that my roommate no longer says what she thinks a tea tastes like unless I outright ask. Nonetheless, it is gone and though I am glad I tried it, I am not too sad to see it go. Thank you Courtney for helping me cross this one off my list.

This is pretty true to it’s name, it’s a nice berry black tea. There are some hints of melon in it. I think that distracts rather than accents for me, but it’s not bad.

Oh this was a lovely tea to have walking to work today! The smell for me was strawberry, which made me smile since spring is coming and I’m looking forward to berry season. The flavour notes are a nice balance of strawberry with an offside of melon. What melon I’m not quite sure, but it is melon-y and lovely.

I’m going to have to sip this one again soon. I’ll try to make my review more detailed that time!

I generally do not enjoy fruit teas with a black base. The ones I’ve tried just seem to be at odds between the fruit(s) and the base, but alas, this tea is quite tasty.

I threw this in my order just because. It had melon, which is always so tempting. The melon is right there, beneath the surface, and I’m getting a hint of strawberry. The strawberry and melon work great together. There is a hint of an artificial taste, and usually this would be a deal-breaker, it’s not overly offensive in this tea at all. I am quite happy I threw this one in on a whim. Perhaps there’s hope for black teas with fruit after all.

Not bad, but not as good as my recent Tealish winning streak. I’ve come to expect really natrual fruit flavours from their blends, but I think that is harder to accomplish with melon flavours. Also, I’m more finicky about fruity black blends. Tasty, but not exciting.

This was another sample I received from Courtney. I’m so grateful that she was nice enough to send me not one, but TWO packages of tea samples from her cupboard.

I don’t know how to describe what I was expecting from this tea, but it sure isn’t what I got! I guess I assumed it was going to be very sweet with an assortment of very strong berry flavors, which I also would have really enjoyed, but instead it had a slight berry taste and a flavor I wasn’t familiar with. At first, I thought it might be some sort of flower, so I headed over to the Tealish website to investigate. I came to find that this tea contained melon, not flowers, and I immediately realized my error. What a fantastic combination of strawberry and melon!

This is another tea I’ll have to add to my shopping list. I’m excited that Tealish is a Canadian Company and that it’s available at retailers throughout the country.

Backlogging a bit. Sort of grabbed randomly for a tea the other day – I wanted something black, and that’s all I knew. I remember this one being a luscious mouthful of fruit and melon, but this cup was a little disappointing. There was a faint aftertaste of berries and honeydew, but it was mainly just a cup of decent black tea. Not amazing. Just okay. A little dusty-tasting. Maybe I needed a longer steep time to bring out the berries.
