“Tea has aroma of juicy, rich dates. Flavour is slightly astringent, not good to drink on its own. Tastes a bit better with milk, but even better with sugar. Brewed at 191˚F for 4 minutes.” Read full tasting note
This tea comes from Harmutty, a garden planted in 1870 by Major Gibb. It’s reputed for its orthodox second flush and this season’s offering does much to keep up its reputation. With large leaves, plenty of golden tips, this summer black tea is wonderfully malty.
