We are on a roll and we are continuously offering a variety of teas to our customers so that they get to taste the length and breadth of Darjeeling teas. This is our first offering of Selimbong and we have procured one of their best muscatel teas to go with. With notes of chocolate plum, almond and lemon, it starts off as slightly salty but finishes off with a strong muscatel taste. A second steeping ensures a strong muscatel taste with a sweetness that finishes well in the mouth. This is an excellent tea for Darjeeling lovers that can be enjoyed all day long.
Selimbong Tea Estate is situated at an altitude of 1400 m above sea level, about 25 km from Tiger Hill. Known as “Silbung” to the local population, with about 160 hectares dedicated to tea plantations, Selimbong produces exquisite Darjeeling teas.
