“A very energetic Oolong. Light sweetness, light bitterness, and soft vegetable notes. It starts off a bit thin but then gets better and better. Also works as a nice fresh cold brew. Read the whole...” Read full tasting note

Description

Cultivar: Jinxuan Oolong
Harvested : April 1st, 2015
Origin: Ali Shan, Changshu Hu (1200m)
Process: Light oxidized, rolled Oolong

The 2015 season is particularly dry. While new tea plantations in the mountains all use water sprinklers, this lack of rain means the plants only received the minimum amount of water. This has reduced yields, but also increased the concentration of the tea. This year’s Jinxuan Oolong is therefore particularly rich and concentrated. Harvested on a sunny day, the brew has a very good clarity. The flowery, grassy and butter scents are very persistent. The taste is powerful and sweet. We can feel the freshness of spring and the power of Alishan’s High Mountain.

This is an excellent tea to start experiencing the amazing freshness and energy of one of Taiwan’s famous tea mountain.
