Growing in the mountains located 2000 meters above sea level, only the best tea buds from hundreds year old ancient tea trees are plucked to produce this Golden Tip, the quality is superior than many other black teas in the market. The difference of the Yunnan Black Tea and other black tea is the amount of “golden tips” contained in the tea.
Finer Yunnan black tea’s liquor is bright in amber colour, exhibits a floral scent and sweet taste. Cheaper varieties of black tea produce a darker liquor and can be very bitter.
This black tea is made of the ancient big leaf tea trees, which contain richer content of polyphenol, contributes to the strong aromatic taste.
The nick name of this noble black tea is “The Daughter’s Tea.” When the Queen Elizabeth of England visited Yunnan, it was presented as gift to the queen, then the queen placed the tea into glass utensils for aesthetic enjoyment.
