This shincha is at the peak of freshness. Note the grassy aroma and rich sweet taste – hallmarks of spring tea. Shincha differs from normal sencha in that it is processed completely and all stock is sold at once – sencha on the other hand is kept refrigerated in an unfinished state and sold throughout the year. In Japan, drinking shincha is a seasonal delicacy and the tea sells out by mid June. So savor every sip!
