The Mangalam Estate has over the past 5 years turned into a reliable source of top-grade Assams. This tea is no exception. The young small leaves have a high concentration of golden tips. The cup color is sparkling copper-red, the flavor complex with good body and malty-fruity flavor and faint spice notes. A top Assam with the rare, lingering aftertaste reminiscent of a full-bodied, dry red wine.
Recommendations: Use 1 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water to a roaring boil; steep for 3-4 min.
