A mix of mountain grown Oolong varietals – Mei Zhan, Shui Xian, Jin Xuan, Mao Xie and Rou Gui – are processed to a black tea. This is a regional style black not often found outside the area encompassing the WuYi Mountains. The tea maker has worked the leaves to a spicy, very rich taste that is unusually nuanced with layers of flavor. A light cup color with a fine bouquet, this tea offers hints of cinnamon, bergamot, wine and a touch of natural sweetness. It will warm and satisfy.
