Mate (Ilex paraguensis) unlike most herbals contains some caffeine, though less than typical green tea. It comes from South America where it is a popular drink. Go native and infuse it in our Mate Gourd and Straw (AC06).
Brewing Advice: One heaped teaspoon per mug. Add fresh boiling water (100ºC). Steep for five to ten minutes.
