Lapsang Souchong is smoked black tea grown at high elevation in the Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian province of China.

Lapsang Souchong has a distinct smoky aroma and flavor. The leaves are first withered, rolled, then lightly smoke-dried in bamboo trays over a pinewood fire.
