“I’m not sure that this is the same tea that I’m drinking. It’s an Iron Arhat from Jk Tea, kindly swapped/given by Phi. Anyway, this tea is good. However, I cannot place words to how good it is...” Read full tasting note
Tie Luo Han(Iron Arhart), is one of the oldest tea variety growing in Wuyi mountain, which can be dated back to Song Dynasty(1000 years ago).
Our Tie Luo Han is high-roasted from Zhengyan growing areas. For the several first infusion, the charcoal baking aroma is obvious, which is quite enjoyable and chased after by many heavy tea-drinkers.Like many other Wuyi rock tea, it has very strong mineral taste, and strong tongue-coating feeling. It enjoys very pleasing floral aroma and long-lasting flavor in the brewed vessel.
All of our Wuyi rock tea is baked extremely slowly by charcoal, and only arrive in the market in August of every year. So the new Wuyi rock tea still has a little bit charcoal feeling in taste. As the tea breathe under the air, the charcoal aroma will disappear slowly and the tea’s original taste and aroma will come out.
All of medium to high-roasted Wuyi rock tea can be stored for over 2-3 years.
