Description

From the area of San Shai in Taiwan, (Formosa) our Pi Lo Chun is grown around 500m above sea level. Originating from China, the name Pi Lo Chun ( or Bi luo chun as sometimes called) has an interesting history. It was originally called ‘scary fragrance’ until an Emperor who obviously knew a thing or two about marketing, thought this wasn’t too great a name and changed it! So, it’s current translation is ‘Green Snail Spring’ referring to the mountains in China where it is also grown. Our Formosa Pi Lo Chun is slightly different from the Chinese teas in that it has long dark green twisted leaves which make a sweeter and more rounded tea we’re sure you’ll enjoy
