DRY LEAF: Well rolled and sorted dark grey and brown, rich with smells of apricots, ripe peaches, grapes, pepper and some floral notes present.
INFUSION: Dark brown and some green with a nose of fruits and macadamia nuts.
CUP: Bright orange-gold, with a fruity aromas. You can taste the muscat grapeyness with an underlying sweetness and a “nutiness” besides a touch of floral notes. It makes for a smooth cup with a rich complexity.
Located in the picturesque Rungbong valley, Sungma is among Darjeeling gardens with highest elevation ranging from 4658 ft – 7742 ft. The garden was set up in 1863 using excellent stock of chinary seed. The garden that is spread over 694 acres continues to produce some of the best Darjeelings.
