“As with any tea purchased from yunnan sourcing, the quality of this tea is mind-blowing. While technically an aged pu-erh, this tea tastes a lot like a Lapsang Souchong. It has a nutty, smoky...” Read full tasting note
This small tea factory is run by older Taiwanese gentleman and life-long Pu-erh tea drinker. He is somewhat of a renegade in the Pu-erh tea community here on the mainland. This is due to the rigorous standards that he sets at each stage of the process. All his teas come from either Jing Mai, Ai Lao, or Wu Liang mountains, which many consider to provide ideal conditions for tea trees. All the trees under his guardianship are hundreds of years old. The tea is picked and sun-dried, then the leaves are separated by hand, removing the large leaves (huang ye).
