Description

This yellow tea was harvested at the end of March 2022 in Mengdingshan, Sichuan province, the area that first created artificial gardens for the cultivations of tea plants.
Huángxiǎochá 黄小茶 literally means “small yellow tea” and indicates a yellow tea composed of buds and the first and/or second smallest apical leaves.
They come from the same area that produces the famous Mengding Huangya, composed of only the youngest and more precious buds. The present harvest, by including also the tender apical leaves, gives the liquor a delicate and surprisingly sweet flavor.

The fine and delicate leaves have an imperial yellow color and flower in the first brews, releasing a bright liquid gold and giving off fragrant hues of chestnuts and wild flowers. The following infusions thrive of an overwhelming freshness, that fills the whole body.

Origin: Mengdingshan, Sichuan province
Flush: End of March 2022, Pre-qingming
