This is the third tea I’ve tried from Dessert by Deb (in the TTB at least) and the first one I’ve really loved. The first blend was good but missing something and the second I did not like at all. This one was creamy and spiced and just delicious.

When I was writing all of the daily advent tasting notes there was this kind of mental adrenaline to it that kept me pushing through the exhaustion/fatigue of keeping up with it all and helped me remember all the details of the many, many teas I was drinking in that condensed time frame without confusing them…

However, come December 25th it was like this massive crash and my brain finally took the pause it so, so badly needed and just sort of shut off for a day. I drank several teas on the 25th but I don’t remember the details of most of them. Thankfully, I wrote notes for the bulk of them on the same day but for whatever reason I didn’t do that with this tea. So…

I remember liking it but feeling like it tasted nothing at all like the name. I’m going to absolutely need to retaste though to give anything more concrete than that in terms of flavour. Gotta build back up to more of a halfway point from the total brain/memory shut down versus operating on high capacity like I was.

Coconut. So much coconut. It does taste kind of like a danish, but a coconut danish. Not getting any pumpkin, and not really getting any pumpkin spice either.

Definitely my favourite pumpkin spice tea ever! Brown sugar really amplifies the taste of this similar to DT’s pumpkin chai! But this one is so good! It honestly has no many spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger etc.) which I love because it feels like you are drinking a liquid pumpkin pie – yum!

I figured I would go ahead and finish this sample off. I’m finding it’s best to overleaf Deb’s teas, so I generally use a whole tablespoon for my 12oz mug (about twice as much as I would normally use). That means I got two cups out of this sample size.

Not much else to add besides what I already said yesterday, this is a pleasant sweet pumpkin spice tea but not something I would feel the need to have in my cupboard.

Yeah I use big mugs and lots of leaf, so whenever brands advertise that their serving size makes like 15 cups, for me it makes three.

I think she does recommend using like 2-3 teaspoons/cup, if I remember correctly. That stresses me out so I stick to my usual amount of 1.5 tsps/8 oz cup usually
