Slow and Steady

Experience the aged flavors of 2008 Menghai Sheng Puer with our Drinking Buddies. Perfect for after a hearty meal, this tea is said to aid in digestion while simultaneously elevating your senses with its medley of smoky flavors and botanic aromas.

Upon brewing, you’ll discover the subtle notes of the first few infusions, leading up to the ultimate revelation of a cosmos of flavors between the 4th to 6th infusions. This tea is focused on the journey, not an immediate experience.

Drinking Buddies comes wrapped in unmarked white paper in a compressed nest-shaped of ~5g. Please note that some abrasions and damage to the paper may be present, attesting to its journey since pluck.

Aged in Taipei

While originally produced in Menghai County in Yunnan Province, this tea was hand-selected by a collector and aged to perfection in Taiwan before we acquired it in 2022. The dry climate of Taiwan has allowed for the natural development of Chen Xiang or “aged aroma,” while minimizing the development of transformative microflora.
