“12th day of my advent calendar from Sara! This one smells oh so lemony. The taste is very lemon, maybe some lemon zest, and a note of the houjicha that is stronger at the end of the sip. The lemon...” Read full tasting note

I’ve read a lot of comments on Steepster that have suggested that there are not enough flavored Houjicha teas out there, and I agree! So, when I started planning out this flavor, I thought that the warm, nutty flavor of the Houjicha would work perfectly as a base for my Lemon Cheesecake Bar recipe!
I start with a little bit of cheesecake flavors and add a touch of lemon (maybe a little more than a touch!) and a touch of vanilla bean to give it a sweet, creamy note. And then I aded my secret ingredient for delicious cheesecake bars: Pecans in the crust. So, I added a hint of pecan flavoring (don’t worry, the pecan flavoring is allergen-free!).
This is a delicious, dessert-y treat!
