Pancakes with Maple syrup. YUM. Not an everyday tea, but a yummy dessert tea. It’s like a big cup of comfort. Haven’t tried re-steeping this one, but when I do, I will come back and update this note.

I love this kettle. It is worth the price. Controls are simple. It heats quickly, a full kettle goes from zero to boil in about 5 minutes. Not the quietest thing on the market, but it’s not obnoxious. It beeps when ready, and the keep warm feature will maintain the temperature of your water for 30 minutes.

Settings for:
160/delicate…175/green…185/white…190/oolong…200/french press…boil/black

Highly recommend.

I am normally a fan of David’s Tea. This might be the worst tea I have tried since being introduced to loose tea. Right out of the bag the pungent smell made me gag, but some of the reviews seemed positive, so I decided to give it a shot anyway.

Bad Idea. Add flowery teas to the list of flavors I can’t handle. That being said, if a flower-flavored mango tea sounds appealing to you, then THIS is your tea. Look no further. I would happily send this as a swap.

As for me and my tastebuds? No thank-you.

It’s weird to drink a tea that tastes like coffee. It’s confusing, and not entirely comfortable.

That being said…once you get used to the coffee/tea hybrid (coffea?) it’s not too bad. The second steep was better than the first, but I find that is the case with most chocolate teas I try. I didn’t have it in me to try a third.

I went and got a proper cup of coffee instead.

This is an amazing Irish Breakfast. Very smooth. Great with a bit of milk and sugar. I was looking for a solid breakfast tea, and this definitely fits the bill.

I got three solid re-steeps out of it before I decided to switch it up for the day.

It tastes exactly like peach cobbler. The name is not a lie.

SUPER sweet. I thought this was going to be a favorite, but after 4 cups, I am done. It is absolutely yummy, but not an everyday tea. I still have 3oz. left so if anyone would like to trade, let me know.

It’s basically like drinking a marshmallow. I am going to “recommend” it, but use caution. A small sample is more than enough.

Ok. Confession time. This is the tea that got me hooked. I was casually strolling through the mall, minding my own business when out of nowhere, a sweet little old lady asked “Try some iced-tea?”

WHO DOESN’T LOVE ICED TEA? And in my defense, she was a very nice lady. So I took her little cup and gave it a swig. I was shocked at how much I loved it. So shocked, I immediately wandered into the store to see what this tea nonsense was all about.

$70 later I walked out with 8oz. of Blueberry Kona Pop, some rock sugar, a tea mug/infuser combo, a citrus tin for the tea, and an over-whelming sense of “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?”

All that said…this is a delightful tea. One of the only ones I will actually buy from Teavana. It is great iced or hot. With sugar or without. I don’t think it tastes overly artificial. I think it is a refreshing blend of pineapple and blueberry. I highly recommend this decaf gem.

Ok look…here’s the thing…I know “Teavana” is a dirty word to some. I get it. It’s a sold-out, mass-marketed franchise. But do yourself a favor, put on sunglasses and a disguise, go to your local mall, and sell a tiny piece of your soul to Teavana for this sugar. I promise it’s worth it.

I have tried three different rock sugars, one from a local shop and one from Adagio. This is the third and this rock sugar is by far, leaps and bounds ahead of the others in subtle sweetness. It sweetens without over-powering or changing the flavor of the tea. Depending on the existing sweetness of the tea, I normally use 1 tsp per cup.

If anyone has found a better sugar, I am all ears. :)

The hubs says this “tastes like Key West” I think that’s a bit harsh…Duval Street can be a bit nasty depending on the time of day…haha.

But I agree with the sentiment. It does remind me of the tropics. The leaves have a light and fruity aroma which carries over to the brew. I find this one relaxing, and very enjoyable before bed or snuggled up with a good fic.
